.jar files no longer scale 100% when system scale is 125%

I set my windows dpi on the (recommended) 125%, since i have a 15" laptop with 1920:1080 resolution. Everything is tiny if I don't do this.

If I open the prepackaged runelite.exe (a client for a game written in java), which has java included, without touching the dpi override settings, it blows it up to 125%, which is what should happen, but not what I want.
If I select the bottom checkmark, and set it to "application", it goes back to regular crisp 100%.

But if I use the runelite.jar file, and it uses my computer's java installation, I can't have it go to 100%. No matter which setting I change, it's always 125%.
Highdpi setting changed runelite.exe in front, highdpi settings for "java.exe" and "javaw.exe" changed runelite.jar in the back: https://i.imgur.com/V9nzXm8.png
Compatibility settings on both are the same.
I can change the window size of the .jar one, but that just crops the client: https://i.imgur.com/n6mBoql.png

This happens with every .jar file. I'm at my wit's end.

Another piece of information is that it used to work with an earlier version of java. (Might be java 8 or before)
But newer applications required at least java 11, and that's where I am now.

    :)

When un-docking laptop, Windows scaling changes to 125% but still shows 100% in settings

I have a 1920x1080 laptop display, and 2 extnernal 1920x1080 displays. When I dock, I do not use my laptop display. Scaling is set to 100% for all monitors when in use.

When I un-dock, and open my laptop display, scaling changes automatically, and visually appears 125%. I go to my display settings, and it says 100%. But when I change to 125% (which is the "recommended" setting) then back to 100%, my display then looks as it
    should.

    This is quite repeatable.

    • I would prefer scaling does not change when I un-dock
    • Why does does he actual scaling not match what the setting is set to?

Windows 10 display scaling feature request

    Hi,

Might be posting in the wrong forum...if so, please let me know the correct section for this.

I am one of the users suffering the blurry text issue with office 2016 APPs (2016 MSO 16.0.4549.1000 64BIT) under Win10 build 15063.502. Hope the fall CU will be fixing it in a more flexible way.

    Couple of queries for request:

    • Why can not MSFT give option to do scaling value other than 100, 125, 150...? There might be need to use 110% as scaling for per-display scaling?
    • Why can not Windows 10 save scaling settings for when connected and not-connected with external monitor and also switch automatically when detecting external monitor? For example, I want to setup laptop screen with 125% scaling and 100% scaling on
external monitor. I also prefer 100% scaling on laptop when not connected with external monitor. So when the external monitor is connected, laptop is scaled to 125% automatically; Switch back to 100% scaling when external monitor is disconnected.
Are these too much to ask? I think MacOS can do these for a long time...

.jar files no longer scale 100% when system scale is 125%

When ever I adjust my 17" (1920 x 1080) notebooks display from Windows 10 default 100% scale to 125% cutom scale I lose 3 important desktop icons?

    When adjusting my 17" (1920 x 1080) Windows 10 notebooks desktop display scaling from 100% to custom scale 125% I lose 3

important desktop icons (recycle bin, & 2 steam game icons). The only way to get them back on my desktop is to go back to the default 100% display scale. Problem is at 100% display scale it's difficult for me to see everything and almost impossible to read
    anything on web.

    Any suggestions appreciated.
