Windows 10: JPG files are Photo after Creators update

Discus and support JPG files are Photo after Creators update in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I want JPEG file to be recognized as JPEG not as Photo after creators update, but I do want to keep "photo" as standard program to open.     I want JPEG file to be recognized as JPEG not as Photo after creators update, but I do want to keep "photo" as standard program to open.

    Photo App keeps claiming *.jpg files as default viewer although I change it! Windows 10 Pro build 10586

    I set Windows Photo Viewer for jpg files and it works... But after a while the photo app claims jpg files as default viewer without even opening the Photo App!

    How do I stop this?????

    This is not a Microsoft problem. It was a third-party ZIP program causing the problem. Solved!

    Photo App not working correctly after Windows 10 Anniversary Update

    Old title: Photo App in Windows 10 Anniversary Update

    Just updated Windows 10 to Version 1607 (Anniversary Update). In the previous Windows 10 version, when I double-clicked a JPG file in Windows Explorer, the file would open in full screen in the Photos app. After the update, the Photos App now automatically
    minimizes to an icon in the Taskbar instead! Clicking on the Photos icon in the taskbar brings up the JPG file in full screen, but it remains hidden behind the Windows Explorer screen, which I then have to minimize to see the JPG.

    Known problem? How do I correct this? Thanks.
