Windows 10: July 6, 2021—KB5004945 Update Ruined My PC's Sound

I've tried almost everything I can think of or find on the internet as a solution; after the July 6th update my sound quality tanked very badly, one of the channels is very weak and I simply can barely hear one side of the channels. It sounds like it's in a can with very little bass.I attempted to update all drivers audio wise, tried to remove update files, did the troubleshoot option for audio, also tried to re-do the sound channel placement in advanced options in devices, and still the same results. The reason I know it's the update that ruined the sound is that I did not change any settings

Seeking advice on Updating to 21H1 with KB5004945 on my doorstep.

If you are on 20H2 before KB5004945 then you'll still be on 20H2 after KB5004945.

I will skip this update and wait for the next one coming next Tue. July 13

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
