  1. June 2019 update killed my machine

    Like many people, after an update on June 23rd, I restarted due to an update, but it left me a black screen, a literal black screen.
    • No BIOS splash screen, so I cannot run it with safe mode;
    • HDD light flashed for one second, then turned off permanently;
    • DVD made a click sound, as normal;
    • I tried another screen, no input signal;
    • I tried unpluging the charger, removing the battery and held the start button for 2 mins to drain out the laptop, then restarted my laptop. It does not work.

    And please do not copy-paste the same stock answers about crtl+alt+delete, and reboot, or installing something, because I cannot. The computer opened once into the bios, then turned off, and no longer turns on normally. My wife and I have identical machines and her's did not have this issue (Although it did reboot into the BIOS, scaring me). So I swapped parts around. Everything works except the motherboard. Based on my reading this is because the BIOS is now missing. Based on my reading I am far from the only one with this issue, caused b the June update. As stated, just a black screen. I have tried the button press for half a minute, and again for a minute, pulling the battery, etc. I have tested the RAM and SSD in the other machine and they work perfectly.

    :)

  4. June 2019 update killed my machine

    Laptop overheating issues after June 2019 update

    Hi Microsoft

    I use a Dell Inspiron 13 5368 laptop. The Windows 10 in my system automatically updated my laptop to the June 11, 2019 update (KB4503286) and since then I am experiencing extreme overheating issues with my system. My OS build is
    17134.829. Please suggest a way to rollback or solve this problem before my motherboard is toast.

    Sincerely
