Windows 10: Junk Mail Blocking on Mail for windows 10 (Not Outlook)

is there no way to block junk mail in mail for windows 10


I read about an options tab that may allow this, but I cannot find the options menu you guys are talking about. I also read to use Cntrl-Shift O, but that only gives me the Outbox.


I would like to stop all the JUNK emails that I am getting everyday, sometimes as many as 50 a day.

I would like to auto delete those as they come in, even better, I would like to know how to stop them at the server so that they would never reach me at all.

Outlook Junk Mail problem


Two types of junk mail, reputable companies and spammers.

If these are companies you recognize unsubscribe.

If companies are not recognized, mark them as junk. In junk click on mail and then Block individual email.

If you can id a domain you can Block whole domain. Click gear, the click View all Outlook settings (assuming new outlook template), click mail, click junk mail, at top is blocking. (Works in older layout too, but steps different.)

Never unsubscribe from companies you don't recognize as you are telling spammers you read junk and your name will be sold as hot commodity.

 

Outlook Junk Mail capacity


Just curious if there is a limit to the number of junk , spam mail that can be stored in the Blocked Mail List, mainly Blocked Mail Domain list? Just blocking junk mail is not as effective as blocking the domain although this can be quite labourious too.

to block the senders please follow these steps

open the message you want to block.

Add the sender to the blocked senders list.

In Windows Live Mail, choose Actions→Junk E-Mail→Add Sender to Blocked Senders List.

In Windows Mail, choose Message→Junk E-Mail→Add Sender to Blocked Senders List.

In Outlook Express, choose Message→Block Sender.

Click the Yes button or click OK.
