Windows 10: Just updated to latest windows 10 update and PC freezes

Within moments of startup my pc freezes..nothing responds...with cntrl alt delete rendered useless and then eventually the screen goes black Then after about 5 minutes of black screen it says failure to display security and shut down options..


Have tried a few fixes but no luck..


Pc ran perfectly without issues last night before updating...


Ssd has ppenty of space

Recent pc so no faulty parts...

Only change since last night was an update..


Respond please microsoft...

Windows 10 Update

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

 

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
