just upgraded to win 11 pin reset problem occured. tried everything did not work . Now resetting pc losing all my apps. Terrible program win 11

Pin to start does not work. On Win 10

Windows 10: Can not pin most applications applications to the start menu or all apps. This occurs both during application install and when right clicking an application and choosing pin to start. Pin to task bar works fine. This is a Win 7 Pro 64 computer
that was upgraded to Win 10 64 Pro. This was intermittent at first and is almost constant now. Any suggestions?

 

File Explorer pinned items reset to defaults

I have a user who after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 cannot pin anything to his file explorer jump lists.

I have tried all the fixes I could find and most didn't work. Some worked for a little while but eventually the file explorer resets to defaults and anything that was pinned is removed.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

 

Windows search not working after win 11 upgrade

After the upgrade from win 10 to 11, windows search is not working at all.

* The search bar within "start" doesn't appear
* Clicking on "Search Quick access" within the File Explorer starts an application called "Search" but this crashes immediately, starts again, crashes again. This happens in a time of seconds.

I tried all suggestions made here, Top 9 Ways to Fix Search Not Working in Windows 11 - Guiding Tech but "SearchHost/ SearchUI" (as it says here: Problembehandlung bei Windows Search - Windows Client) is not available in the Task Manager. The service "Windows Search" is running.

All worked fine in Win 10. This is my second try for the win11 upgrade. Some search problem occurred a few weeks ago, so I had to roll back the upgrade.
