Windows 10: JW Library App doesn't play any videos; neither the downloaded ones nor the ones I try to...

JW Library App doesn't play any videos; neither the downloaded ones nor the ones I try to stream. I recently started having this issue. The app opens up normally and everything loads fine but when I try to play a video of any sort the video player opens for a second, displaying the art cover andcloses on its own. I started having this problem from last Sunday Jan 3rd, 2020 . Everything worked fine until then.

Note: for those who don't know, the app has an in-built media player.



Solutions I have tried :-


I tried restarting my system and also tried reinstalling the app. This hasn't helped at all. I tried creating a different user and installed the app there but landed at the same problem. I really need this to work as I use this everyday. It looks like a problem from Window's side. I made no major changes to my system. Any help will be appreciated!


I've attached a screenshot of my windows version. I'm on the latest available version. I use a Dell G3 3500 Notebook.

JW Library App for Windows 10 crashes when video is played

I successfully download videos using the JW Library app, but the app closes when I attempt to play the video. Can anyone help?

JW Library is only available for Windows 8 at the moment (not Windows Phone 8). I suggest you talk to the publisher of the app and ask them to release a Windows Phone app too.
