Windows 10: KB3150513 and wushowhide

I've used gpedit to set the Automatic Updates option "Notify for download and notify for install". Every week or so I get notified of available maintenance and find KB3150513 waiting. Whenever that happens I run wushowhide.diagcab to hide KB3150513.

Maybe I don't remember how wushowhide.diagcab is supposed to work, but I though hidden patches would no long show as available. KB3150513 still shows as available for download. Am I doing something wrong, or is KB3150513 somehow immune to hiding?

please have a look into your windows update history:

Did this happen, although KB3150513 (date: Sept, 1) is installed?

Or is KB3150513 just not installed on your system?

The answer you give might indicate, whether KB3150513 is a substantial game changer with respect to the this thread's topic. Or whether KB3150513 is in no way a fix to the problems, 3176493 and/or 3172729 made us run into.

this program is not 3rd party it microsoft's wushowhide.diagcab . was using it to remove a program from

UPDATE : MICROSOFT download list/ update list. Q. is AFTER YOU RUN IT AND CLOSE OUT. WHERE DOES IT GO / FILE / OR


RUNS JUST THE ONE TIME AND YOU HAVE TO ( REBOOT IT AGAIN / RELOAD ) IF YOU WISH TO USE IT AGAIN.

 

That one is continually being updated in a departure from previous patterns. It is now normal for it to be delivered repeatedly - it includes updates on compatibility.

Each update is noted in the News section. Please have a look there - there are other posts related to this on the forum if you search for that update.

 

in other words, KB3150513 is being revised and the newest "revision" of this update is not hidden and will have to be hid again with wushowhide.

 

Just let it download. Don't fuss with it.
