Windows 10: KB4023057 - Error 0x80070015 (Windows update problem)

Windows update will not load or update an update for a 2018-12 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based System. The update is KB4023057 which throws an error # 0x80070015.


I tried to find the KB4023057 update online, but there is no way to simply download it to install.


Others who have had a successfully downloaded & installed KB4023057 via Windows Update have had serious system performance problems.


The question are:

1) What does KB4023057 do?

2) Is the update truly required?

3) If not, how do I inform Windows Update to ignore it.

4) If the update is necessary, how can I access it via an online download - & what is the probability it will not destroy my laptop?

problems downloading & applying updates KB4023057 & KB4467702

I get these recurrent errors in Windows Update --

• 2018-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4467702) - Error 0x80070015
• 2018-12 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057) - Error 0x80070015

I stumbled on this resource (WAY too unintuitive to find that, Microsoft! It should be linked visibly in
Windows Update) --

...where I was able to successfully download other updates which also produced recurrent errors EXCEPT NOT
KB4023057 and KB4467702 --

• KB4467702 I could download and run the installer and it repeatedly tells me my system doesn't need that item, even after restarting the system. Then WHY does
  Windows Update think I need it?
• KB4023057 - is absent in Microsoft Update Catalog
  

 

Error 0x80070015 on windows 10

After updating,I'm having this issues for a quite a while.

These are error message I received. And I don't know what to do now. There is even an error message that the C: is unavailable aside from this error. I don't know what to do anymore. How do I fix this?

Delivery Optimization is off and those registry keys don't exist.
I downloaded Windows Repair 2018 from tweaking.com. I'm not sure I have the right tool.
Item #17 is Repair CD/DVD missing/not working.
Item #26 is Set Windows Services to default Startup.
Were those item numbers the exact items you want me to run or just random numbers off the top of your head? Also, does that need to run in safe mode as the program tells you when it starts up?
The Windows Update MiniTool failed to install updates with the same error. (0x80070015)
There was a different error listed on the overall updated Failed list. 0x80240022)
