  1. KB4100347 has left my PC unable to overclock PERMANENTLY

as some of you are aware the KB4100347 update released in late September caused many people owning a broadwell-E processor to be unable to overclock their cpus. many people were posting the solution to this as being to just to uninstall the update. However I have uninstalled the update myself and STILL can't overclock my cpu. I have a 6950x and it has run at 4.2Ghz for years and now runs at 3.5Ghz MAX even with the update uninstalled!....what a disaster of an update!!! it has left my CPU permanently at stock settings. When i go back into the bios to overclock it again it still always reverts to stock clocks once windows loads....

without a counter-patch of some sort I won't ever be able to overclock the thing! extremely angry!!!! how any update can touch the bios settings is beyond me....Does microsoft have a response SOON for this????

    :)

  2. KB4100347

Does installing KB4100347 make any permanent changes in a PC that remain when the update is uninstalled or the HDD is wiped and W10 1803 is re installed? My HDD is at 100% activity nearly all the time with only 1-2% CPU? This renders the PC slow
and unusable. I did a clean install of W10 1803 from USB on this PC when it was first released without any issues or system changes etc but repeating the process as used before, remove all partitions, recreate them then install 1803 kills the PC when downloading
the updates. CHKDSK does not find any HDD errors. I have also noticed that KB4100347 does not download now when I check for updates.

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds
