After installing this update I immediately closed all programs and restarted. At first boot, I let it sit for 15-20 minutes, never gettinf past the system logo with spinning dots at the beginning of my boot sequence.

I let the next boot attempt go for only 5 minutes, after that I started the automatic the repair. The repair starts (system logo + "automatic system repair) and after maybe 30 seconds I get a black screen that I let sit for 10 minutes before final getting the following results:

I unplugged all my periphials (7 including the USB hub and

what is connected through it) with the intention of resetting the CMOS inside, but literally as spoon as the last device was pulled, not a second before, i get the windows login screeen. So I rhink ok its probably just unsure of how to handle the bad USB port, but I wanted to be sure, so I plugged everything back in and restarted. Unsurprising to me, it wouldn't boot until all devices were disconnected.

After getting to my desktop I decided to check all my drivers and status of my devices, as well as run a malware scan for good measure even though I did a fresh start 2 days ago with 2 empty disk drives. But my system was running so slow that I could barely open a program let alone utilize it. So I tried to restart 1 more time with no connected devices or power, and I'm getting the same results I initially got that I thought was caused by a USB device!

Temperatures seem fine, fan is running at a slightly higher rpm but is at a steady pace, not speeding up but not slowing down.

It took me all of about 10 minutes to write up this post and I started the boot attempt like 3-5 minutes prior. As I began the last short paragraph, LOOK WHO DECIDED TO SHOW UP, MR. WINDOWS LOADING SCREEN (I'm mad as hell) Sidenote: idk if I mentioned thr somewhere in this infinite loop I was able to access my UEFI settings and no USB services were enabled and secure mode was on. I'm afraid to back out and look again but if the problem persists I'm going from my UEFI to my CMOS to my USB Windows boot drive, in that order. SOSOSOSOSOSOS

PS: I'm not going to go back and spell/fact check myself like I normally would because it's late and my brain won't let me go to sleep til this mystery is solved, so if anything seems off just ask!

    THANKS!!

    :)
