  1. kb4462933 - causing WiFi to become unreliable (Realtex RTL8723AU Wireless adapter)

I have a Lenovo Yoga. The WiFi connection has become unreliable,. It lasts about 5-10 minutes before it has to be reset. Network Troubleshooter always reports Default Gateway is not available and fixes it.

The problem started after a windows update. The only solution I have found that works is to uninstall kb4462933.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device driver for the network adapter. I have tried netsh winsock reset catalog and then netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log. I have set the power management option for the device to not allow the computer to turn off the device. I uninstalled McAfee Site Advisor. None of these worked.

I have looked in Eventvwr but cannot see anything in there that seems relevant. There are errors being reported but the same errors are reported ( as far as I can tell from a quick review) after I have rolled back kb4462933 and the laptop is working fine.

Can anyone suggest how I can fix this problem so I can allow Windows update to proceed and install kb4462933 again?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    :)
