Windows 10: kb4482887 repeated install in Update

On Mar 1 the Kb4482887 downloaded and did its install via the windows update. This laptop is not always on but it was this past 3 days and on Mar 7 noticed the update procedure taking place. It was the Kb4482887 installing again.


The only reference to the Mar 1 in software distribution download is a reference to a recent in the AppData\Roaming.
If I had installed this via the Microsoft catalog my response would be that my effort had not been done properly but this took place from the Windows Update. It was taking place before I had a chance to do it manually on Mar 1.
I'm on a slow download so I take advantage of the catalog link to use one download for two machines. The desktop which I did install manually from the direct link to the catalog and it has not received a second copy so I'm curious why the laptop did after a week.

MSI 5870 BIOS Update

Still can't reproduce. Could you please post the exact BIOSes that produce the issue?

 

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
