    Cummilative update KB4497935 for 1903 fail to reboot after the update is installed.. the rotating dots continue forever..

    Recovered with external boot media and restore point. Update history shows 0x80242016 error for KB4497935 install attempt..

    Windows 10 Insider Preview Update fail

    Build 18356.16 19hl_release failed 1903 10x. I had my comp set to auto update until I realized it was the same update fail.

    Last failed install attempt on ‎30/‎03/‎2019 - 0x80242016.

    How can I get the update fixed ?

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
