Win 10 1607 update

Installed the update manually at the the moment everything is bueno.
It seems that Microsoft has a big problem in there update department windows 7 update has problems win 8 update has problems. Windows 10 update is so-so.

 

Ubiquiti Unifi and 1903 update

Hey folks,

So I have a Unifi controller (latest version) running on a Windows 10 box. I run Unifi as a service. I allowed Windows to update to 1903 and it immediate broke the service for the controller. Even after stopping the service, uninstalling the service, reinstalling
the service, then starting it, the controller does not work at all. It will function fine when launched as the UnifiController .exe ... just does not start the controller when launched as a service.

I have the very latest 64-bit Java 8 installed; I attempted uninstalling that and reinstalling fresh, then reinstalling the Unifi controller and restoring from a backup for the controller... still no luck.

The service throws up no errors and appears to begin correctly but just does not.

Unifi support believes this to be an issue with the Windows 1903 update, as when I reverted to Windows before the update, everything immediately works fine again, Unifi service works fine.

Thanks for any input, and thank you Microsoft for taking the time to hopefully look into this issue and fix it. *(assuming it is an issue with the update)*

 

Windows 7 update help needed

Language packs should be listed in the optional updates section of Windows Update.

As for installing Win 7, it should merely ask for the qualifying media to be inserted to the dvd drive. That's what XP upgrade install discs did when there wasn't a previous OS installed.
