KB4532097 makes SSRS Report URL's case sensitive similar to KB4535706

Similar to https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...e/fb211578-5ae8-4c0e-be0b-278f6fde0825?auth=1, we recently installed KB4532097, and SSRS URL link to report server became case sensitive. Link to http:\\server_name\reports\report_name doesn't work, whereas http:\\server_name\Reports\report_name will work.

We uninstalled the update but the issue persisted. Is there a fix Microsoft would implement, or has anyone else fixed this issue in a different way?

    Thanks!

    :)

  2. KB4535706 makes SSRS Report URL's Case Sensitive

Anyone else find that after the installation of KB4535706 that all of a sudden links to reports in SSRS might not work? We found out that the URL links are now Case Sensitive. So a URL link to ServerName\reports\reportname does not work while a URL link
to ServerName\Reports\reportname does work. We have users calling us saying links to reports no longer work. When will Microsoft come out with a fix for this?

Ok - thanks for the confirmation. Found a link to an article about this happening to Power BI servers back in the September 2019 updates to Power BI servers. Looks like MS came out with a fix for that issue pretty quickly after it being reported. Some
said the installation of .Net 4.8 resolved it for them but we tested that on this issue and it did not have an affect. So far, the only fix has been either to update your URL links or remove KB4535706. Hopefully MS will have a fix for this soon.

KB4535706 makes SSRS Report URL's Case Sensitive

Yes, seeing the same behavior. Report links with servername/reports/reportname will redirect to servername/Reports/browse/, which the user may not have access to (rather than the report itself).
