Windows 10: KB4551762

Has anyone had issues after the latest update with windows 10 power options not changeable? My display is now turning off after 30 minutes and I cannot change it.

KB4551762 update fails repeatedly, gives Error 0x800f0986

I am running Windows 10 Pro, 1909, x64 and all other updates have installed successfully except KB4551762. I was unable to find any other posts similar to my problem. The actions I have done so far are:
- Ran Troubleshooter for Windows updates....no problem found.
- Manually downloaded/installed KB4551762 with same results...failed with Error 0x800f0986.
- Restarted into Safe Mode but the Windows Updates didn't seem to work, just got a blank screen with Windows updates at top.
- Checked Device Manager for any problems but nothing showed bad.
- Checked my disk space, more than 100GB free space.
At this point I need some help so any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

 

KB4532693 and KB4551762 affecting check boxes in an app

I have an older app that presents a list with check boxes for selecting items to backup from with in it (this is a special backup within the app, not MS Backup). KB4532693 and KB4551762 seem to remove the check boxes, making selecting anything to back
up impossible. When I remove the updates, the check boxes re-appear. Is anyone else seeing this behavior with their apps? Is this a known problem with these updates that may be fixed in a future release (I found nothing in the update release statement of known
problems nor anyone posting this issue)?

Hi, I really need some help. My Windows update keeps failing staing 'Your device is missing important security and quality fixes'

Any one have any suggestions how to resolve this?
