Windows 10: KB4556799 Not Installing :-/ ~ never mind!

booted the machine today and it came up w/ the blue "completing installing updates" thing, finished ok. after doing some work i checked for updates and it was downloading a few - i haven't used this machine in a while.
Updates showed KB890830 and KB4552931 as "Pending Install", KB4556799 got to 100%, and then nothing. i left it about ten mins, did a restart, same thing - it downloaded it all again and is now sitting at "downloading 100%". i fired up the Update Troubleshooter, it said it couldn't identify an issue.

EDIT - panic over, i left the machine on and it eventually - after a looong wait - finished doing its stuff.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
