  1. KB4560960 - MFC-240C Printer Driver

The printer driver, KB4560960, for brother MFC-240C from June 2020 causes my printer to not print; I.ve seen postings stating I just need to remove the driver. I have removed it on several occasions already; is this print driver going to be replaced or do I have to keep removing it with every update?

    Thanks,

    Tony

MFC-240C WIndows 10 OCR Scan not option on control panel

SOLVED BY FOLLOWING THESE STEPS: http://support.brother.com/g/b/faqend.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc240c_all&faqid=faq00100170_001

Make sure to unplug USB and outlet cord first (as directions indicate).

At Step 11, I got the message that the MFC-240C driver was still in use, and deletion was denied. (This happened twice.)

Nonetheless, I plugged both cords back in. Computer beeped. Windows 10 immediately acknowledged device, and quickly downloaded appropriate software, drivers, etc.

Went to "Devices & Printers" page on my desktop. Scan function was available (when it wasn't previously). Have since successfully scanned. Printer and copier continue to work, too. Haven't tried to fax, yet, tho.

    Good luck! KB4560960 - MFC-240C Printer Driver :)

Thank you, brother.com, for the Windows 10 support!

Brother MFC J6720DW listed with strange icon in Devices and Printers

I have reinstalled the drivers for my Brother MFC J6720DW and now the printer icon is listed in the unspecified category instead of the printer category. The printer is the "Device" icon to the right.

    KB4560960 - MFC-240C Printer Driver [IMG]

Right clicking on the icon shows the usual items for a printer (printing properties etc.), In addition it shows a "Browse Files" entry that lists the card reader of the printer.

To the left of the Brother printer icon there is another similar one that seems to be my USB card reader
