UPDATE 11/23: KB4586853 has now been updated a second time for Windows 10 version 2004 build 19041.662 and version 20H2 build19042.662.

    UPDATE 11/19: KB4594440 CU Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.631 and v20H2 19042.631

If you already updated to 661 or 662, then 631 will not be available since 661 is a higher build. No need to do anything.

Currently, the update is distributed early via WSUS, and not via Windows Update.

Release notes for build 19042.662.1.10 are not yet available from Microsoft. This post will be updated when available, but this is what we know below so far.

    Fixed:
    • The repair install (in-place upgrade) on Windows 10 20H2 works again. The update must be installed. After that you can also use a current 19042.630 ISO for an inplace.
    • The dark properties window issue has now also been fixed
    • Task Manager has been renewed. This will start again as a small window after the update.
    • The Defrag DLLs have been updated. Whether it will bring improvements is not yet clear.

The reason I could, and I believe Magilla could, just install this over the other without a un-install first is because they have different internal version numbers. Same KB number, different version. The one from yesterday was:

    One from today is
