Windows 10: KB4601319 fails with error 0x80073712

I'm on version 20H2 19042.685. The computer is a 2020 Asus G14 which I bought in late November. I successfully upgraded to 20H2 but since December I can't seem to install these updates:

• 2021-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4601319)
• 2021-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4598242) (along with the security update with the same reference)
• 2021-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4598291)

The install goes to 100% and then fails with error 0x80073712.

Strangely, other updates have worked recently:

• driver updates
• definition updates (e.g. KB2267602)
• some other updates, e.g. 2021-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 (KB4601050)

I tried the following already:

• Restarting computer
• Restarting BITS and WU services
• Booting into safe mode and booting with all non-Windows services disabled
• WU troubleshooter
• Opening a command prompt and trying to restore using DISM (which finishes normally; the subsequent sfc /scannow is clear)
• Using the standalone installers for each update
• Using the WU Assistant (which just thanks me for installing Windows 10)
• Resetting WU components (as per https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/24742-reset-windows-update-windows-10-a.html)

I'm out of ideas. What else can I do short of a full reinstall, which I would rather avoid? (especially since, not knowing what the issue it, it could pop up again a week later...)

KB4284848 fails with Error Code 0x80073712

I have attempted to install KB4284848 several times but continue to get error code 0x80073712.

Reading through some of the community posts, I ran WuReset 2.0 for windows 10, as the administrator, and the KB continued to fail installation.

Other suggestions?
