  1. KB5001337 update on W10 WindowsFormsHost memory leaks

Hi,we have a WPF application that uses WinForms class library responsible for graphs rendering. It is injected in main WPF application by WindowsFomrsHost XAML element. Installation of cummulative windows 10 update KB5001337 introduced sort of memory leak in this part of application. Already on initialization memory consumptions explodes to use all available memory 32GB. It got frozen and after while the entire application crashes. We did not observe this issue before update KB5001337. Could you please provide more details how to resolve this issue?Thank you,Hynek.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 memory leak after update [Wfpn / ntoskrnl.exe]

I fixed the problem by updating the bwcW10x64.sys driver, which is part of the Killer Networking suite.
This is the second time one of their products has caused memory leaks for me on W10, hence if you encounter the same problem and have a KI network card (quite common on gaming motherboards) I suggest you try updating their drivers ASAP.

Edit: watch out because the driver update for KI that came out on 07/08/17 causes blue screen on W10 if the PC is on for more than ~24hrs

    Memory leak issue

The term "memory leak" means that an application fails to return all its RAM to the operating system when it exits. The leftover RAM is unusable to the operating system.

Step one is to identify the application that is leaking memory. Step two is to contact the application's developers and provide as much detailed data on the memory leak as you can. For example: which processes are still in RAM after the application exits
and how much RAM they occupy. Application developers never want their applications to leak memory and they will be grateful for the details you provide, particularly if they can replicate the leak on their own computers.

Possible Memory Leaks in Windows 10

A memory leak occurs when an application closes and fails to release all its RAM back to the operating system.

The first step in dealing with a memory leak is to determine which application is leaking memory.

The next step is to contact that application's technical support with complete details of the memory leak, since the developers will want to fix the problem ASAP.
