That glitch was widely reported when the Preview update was released as KB5003214
KB5003214 update for Windows 10 is causing taskbar problems -- but there's a simple fix

It was supposedly fixed when the patch Tuesday update was released today as KB5003637
    https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/0...ne-installers/

Some people have reported already that turning of the new - installed taskbar - news and interest feeds has resolved the issue.

My own opinion is that this is yet another example of Windows10 being increasing less tolerant of third part apps that change the basic settings of 10 - eg in your case Classic Start Menu

After reading the "Windows 10 Build 19043.1052 is now available, download offline installers" and what the update does, I don't have any need of it, I don't use the news feeds.
