Windows 10: kb5004237

I am trying to remove security patch kb5004237 but cannot. It does not show up in the control panel but shows up in apps, but will not let me remove it. It has caused conflicts with other programs and I need it removed

KB5004237 will not install!

Three out of my four computers have installed KB5004237 without any problems - the remaining one stalls at 20%, and throws up error 0x800f081f.
I have run sfc + dism + the update trouble-shooter to no avail.
It would seem that I am missing certain data/ previous update from what I can gather. Is this a known problem? and is there a starting point for me to try.
Windows update suggests that I am up to date.

Thinkpad T15pGen 1 refuses to install KB5004237 or 20H2

Was trying to fix a friend's ThinkPad T15p Gen1 laptop that has 8GB RAM and build 20H1. It refuses to intall KB5004237 either via windows update or via downloading the installer. The result is always the same error 0x8007000D. Same goes for the feature upgrade to 20H2.

Have tried

1. Windows Troubleshooter
2. sfc /scannow
3. dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth followed by a dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
4. clean out the software distibution folder
5. reset Windows Update components batch file from these forums

save to your desktop
right click open, see if will install from there.
