Windows 10: KB5010386 error 0x800f0905

Hello since today my Windows 11 is asking me to install the KB5010386 and it fails.It fails via windows update I have tried https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-toreset-windows-update-components-in-windows/14b86efd-1420-4916-9832-829125b1e8a3It fails via .cab file and powershell as adminIt fails in safe modeIt fails via .msu fileSFC and DISM don't find any damaged file.Using restore point shouldn't fix the problem ...Here is the dism log of the cabfile ISM DISM.EXE: DISM PID=5280 TID=5288 Scratch directory set to 'D:\Users\Modged\AppData\Local\Temp\'. - CDISMManager:

KB4512941 error 0x800f0805 / 0x800f0905

Hi,

does anyone have an idea what is wrong with this KB?

It worked on 3 machines - but not so on the 4th - tried it some 13 times by now

Tried SFC/DISM without success. Also used the download from windows update catalogue resulting in 0x800f0905.

Cannot see any further hint in event log or reportingevents.log under SoftwareDistribution folder.

Any hint most welcome

Hmm. Either it's put out errors and WCG is limiting the work units available, or the project list may not be set to supply other WU when one runs out. (if the problem lies here and not on your end)

On the options to your left, if you go into Results Status, select the computer from Device Name and then look through results see if either they were returned late, errors or any other kind of issue that would stop the servers supplying WU from that perspective.

If there are no errors then it's maybe down to your project list. So selecting Device Manager from the left menu and then clicking on the profile assigned to that computer and make sure that it's assigned to receive WU for other projects if they run out.

At least those steps will rule out problems from the WCG end.
