Windows 10: KB5048652 fail 0x800f0922

Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 22H2Installed on ‎12/‎08/‎2024OS build 19045.2965Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0Using Windows Update this KB failed twice. Once after PC working all day and again following cold boot. Because the KB contains mandatory Security fixes I need some assistance with troubleshooting the issue.It does not appear to be a WUpdate issue given that two other Updates completed successfully during the same initial attempt as shown in the following image.KB5048652

Cumulative Update Fails with Error - 0x800F0922

Hello Marvin,

Yes. I am still working on this issues. One Microsoft site mentioned that the error 0x800F0922 was caused by space issue on the "system reserved partition. I downloaded a tool to increase the size but it did not help.

I'm out of options right now. Any suggestions?

The update installs fine but after the reboot when it's installing updates, it fails over there.

 

Windows 10 fails to update (0x800f0922)

My Windows 10 laptop slowed to a crawl (disk always at 100%) which usually means it needs an update, but this time it failed to update. Half-way through it says "We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes."

And then in the settings it says:

"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800f0922)"

I retried several times, over several days, but it kept failing.

The updates that keep failing are:

• Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.395.436.0)
  
• 2023-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5029244)
