  1. Keeping windows activated when changing motherboard and reinstalling windows

I currently have an AMD processor and want to switch to Intel which will require changing the motherboard and reinstalling windows, will windows stay activated throughout even though I am changing the motherboard and reinstalling? If not will it be as simple as re-entering the key? Or will I need to do something else?

    :)

    Changing motherboard and Windows

assuming you have the same SATA controller (and set to the same mode, EG IDE/AHCI/RAID) it will just install your other drivers, ask to reboot and then likely ask you to activate.

To be honest, its best to reinstall windows when you change hardware like that.

Change motherboards without reinstalling Windows 7!

it is quite possible. i've done it dozens of times.

I dont really recommend it however, better to have a fresh install of windows so you dont get all sorts of leftover junk (old drivers etc)
