Windows 10: Kep taskbar down when resizing a window at bottom edge of screen?

I need to resize a window by moving my mouse to its lower edge. When I try to do this, the taskbar (set to autohide) comes up and gets in the way. Is there a means to suppress the taskbar temporarily for this operation?

When that happens here I generally will grab the top edge of the title bar and resize it downward, then move the window upwards or wherever so the bottom of the window then isn't under the taskbar. Move and resize where ever you want - Quick n Simple.

 

Issue with browser

put mouse pointer in middle of green area, hold left mouse button down and move up to top. do not go too far as it will lock to full windows mode, not full screen mode, there is a difference. and then when you unlock full window mode, it will be right back
as in your photo.

then go to bottom of browser, put mouse cursor half on and half off bottom edge, hold left button down and drag to resize to top of taskbar

I can also suggest a way to do that e.g. with ALT + right mouse key (or other combinations) which avoids approaching the bottom edge of the window entirely.
