  1. Kernel 41 after installing new GPU

I'm having a very difficult time since installing a new EVGA 3080 RTX FTW3. My computer monitors will turn off, my PC will remain on, however my computer immediately reboots without warning and Event Viewer shows the Kernel 41 mod. No BSOD.The first night I installed the GPU was great, I played games for hours. The next day, I noticed my NVIDIA driver had been paused halfway, so I resumed its download and that's when the issues persisted. It first happened only when loading up games, then progressed to me not even touching my computer, or to today: it crashed while I was away from my computer,

    :)

  2. Kernel-Power event id 41. BugcheckCode 0

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In-order to get more clarity on this issue and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, reply with answers to the below questions:

    1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
    2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
    3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
    Power Event ID 41
and follow the steps for the scenario that is causing this error on your PC.

Additionally, you can refer the article on Windows
Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows

    and check if that helps.

  4. Kernel 41 after installing new GPU

Critical Kernel-Power error when GPU is on load

    Hello there,

I'm currently facing very annoying critical Kernel-Power errors every time my GPU is on load. Since Monday, 20. Feb. 2017 I'm using a GTX 1070. Right after installing the gpu I ran Grand theft auto 5 on maximum settings for testing. Everything was fine until
after a couple of minutes my PC suddenly shut down and rebooted on it's own. This happened a second time and a third time testing with Diablo 3, which is far less performance hungry.

So I checked the event viewer, which showed me:

I also observed that I had Kernel-Power issues in the past, using my Radeon HD 7870 - though I never realized them until now. Regarding the times they occurred, I obviously wasn't sitting at my PC at that time.

At first I suspected my Power Supply Unit as the malefactor, so I bought a new one. The shut downs continued.

I've monitored my temperatures during load and they were perfectly fine. (Cpu @ ~50°C and GPU @ 60-70°C).

Furthermore I do not receive any Kernel-Power errors when my PC is idle or used for browsing, streaming via VoD, etc. (My computer is almost running 24/7)

So I did try an older version of my graphics driver - no effect

updated Chipset and BIOS (UEFI) - no effect

    My pc specifications:

    Win 10 prof 64bit

    Intel Xeon E3-1230 v3

GAINWARD GeForce GTX 1070 Phoenix GS 8 (brand-new)

    ASRock Z87 Pro3 Mainboard

    16 Gb G.skill DDR3 (800Mhz)

    Crucial_CT512MX100 SSD 500 Gb

    beQuiet Pure Power 10 (500W) PSU (brand-new)
