My computer is rebooting randomly. I have searched the web for solutions, but I have failed to fix the problem. Please help.

Hi, my PC restarts by it self with out any warning, Sometimes it is more than once a day and other times it could take up to two weeks before restarting by it self.

In the event viewer I found the following code:

(70368744177664),(2).

I tired to Google it, but none of the search results offered a real solution.

This is not a gaming PC, it is used for regular home office applications and internet browsing.

Any suggestions please?

The kernel power event ID 41 error occurs when the computer is shut down, or it restarts unexpectedly. When a computer that is running Windows starts, a check is performed to determine whether the computer was shut down cleanly. If the computer was not shut
down cleanly, a Kernel Power Event 41 message is generated.



Try this, see if it works for you:

• Go to "Settings"
• Select "System"
• Select "Power and Sleep"
• Select "Additional Power Settings"
• Select "Choose what the power buttons do"
• Select "Change settings currently available"
• Ensure that "Turn on fast start up" is deselected (unticked)
• Click on "Save Changes"

Restart your computer after performing the steps.

Hi thanks for the answer but all that you told me i`ve already cheked and i´m not able to find the issue. But i have 2 events before the kernel power (41); they are:

1- Event log (6008): it said that the system was shut down improperly as a description; but i can assure that it´s not true.

2-Distributed COM (10016)--> CLSID {D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160} and APPID {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}.

In the second one i´ve tried to change the permissions but it doesn´t get fixed.
