Windows 10: Key/code??

I have used my Microsoft works for years when my computers got old etc (3 or 4 times?maybe 5) and I purchased a new one my "Works" was always transferred. Again I bought a new computer and Best Buy said unless I have the Key? or the code?? they cannot transfer it. At the onset when I purchased my computer this installation was done for me and the transfers were also done at the computer sales ie Best Buy. I do not know how to find my key/code. HELP!!!! Mary

Remove account


I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

   net user test /del

 

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001


Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.

I suggest you to use the on-screen keyboard and check if the same issue persists:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys together.
  
• 
  Type “osk” and hit enter.
