Windows 10: keyboard and mouse not working after update

hello so i recently done an update 2 days ago, since the update my keyboard and mouse have become unresponsive.

they work while using the bios but as soon as the rings appear when windows loads up none work.


i have tried a cmos clear, bios reset and also tried to go into recovery mode but when in recovery mode i cannot access anything else as the keyboard and mouse will not work. been advised to turn power on and off 3 times no luck, also been advised to turn on legacy usb whihc was already on so turned off and on and no luck at all

Keyboard not working after Windows 10 Update

your mouse and keyboard driver? If not, we suggest you to do so. There is a possibility that the driver is not compatible with the new Windows 10 update. However, one
of the workarounds that we suggest for your mouse and keyboard to work is to update the driver. If the symptom persist, you can run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter. To run the Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

  Troubleshooting.

  Choose

  and run the troubleshooter.

Mouse and keyboard won't work after bios

Hi,

One possible reason that your mouse and keyboard is not working is due to an outdated or corrupted drivers. Since you've recently made an update, there might be drivers that are having compatibility issues
that needs to be addressed.

We suggest that you run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot.
• Under Find and fix other problems, select
  Hardware and Devices > Run the troubleshooter.
