Windows 10: Keyboard defaults to English UK even though everything else US

Any idea why Keyboard defaults to English UK even though everything else US e.g. country or region = US, current regional format = English US,

Windows display = US

Apps + websites = US

Preferred languages = English US


There doesn't appear to be any way to switch keyboard from English UK to US.

Can't remove English UK keyboard after windows update

Hey,

I updated my Windows 10 with the latest update over the weekend.

When I signed in today I found that my Default language was changed from English (US) to English (UK) and that the English(UK) keyboard was added as well.

I managed to change the default language back to English (US) by downloading the language pack but I can't seem to remove the UK keyboard at all.

When clicking the keyboard the Remove option is grayed out (as is the US keyboard's option).

To add to the weirdness, I also have another keyboard layout that doesn't appear in the list of keyboards or their Options.

Help?

 

English (UK) as default but it questions the UK spelling

I have installed Word 2010 on my other laptop computer and made the language English (UK) the default but it questions UK spelling such as labour, neighbour and suggest labor and neighbor .

How can I correct this?

 

English (UK) keeps coming back to my keyboard

I'd set Greek and Japanese as the only languages in my keyboard because Japanese has built-in English typing as well, then set Greek as my default language. After the latest update, the English (UK) language keeps popping up in my keyboard languages and
doesn't show up in the list for me to remove it. I can temporarily remove it by adding the language myself, then removing it from the list, but it shows up again the next time I start Windows.
