Windows 10: keyboard freeze

I am running Windows 11. Since the upgrade I find that there are occasions when the keyboard appears to freeze. By freeze I mean suddenly my keyboard strokes are not appearing. This is similar to the keyboard buffer catching up but it never does, the strokes are lost.My keyboard is connected to the computer via a dongle, the same one is used by the mouse. The mouse continues to work fine. I thought that the issue was related to an old keyboard but the new keyboard is exhibiting the same issue.The problem is not limited to a time of day. Keyboard problem in Windows 10

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

To address your concern, we suggest that you try the following steps:

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.
