Windows 10: Keyboard macro only works when Mouse and Keyboard Center is open

Hi all,I bought a Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard. When I set it up, I realized there is no Sleep button like on my old keyboard.So I assigned a macro to one of the new keyboard's favourites button to put the computer to sleep. The macro is basically WinKey+X U S.When the Mouse and Keyboard Center is open, the macro works and I can put the computer to sleep and wake it up using the favourite key. However, if I close Mouse and Keyboard Center, the favourite button reverts to its default of opening the first program on the taskbar.Is there a way to make the macro function all the time?Thanks!

I understand your concern, I’ll be glad to assists you. I suggest you to clear the
FilterKeys and check if it helps.

• Type Ease of Access Center in the search box.
• Select make the keyboard easier to use.
• Click to clear Turn on Filter Keys, or adjust the settings to a quicker rate.
• Close the Window.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to remove and re add the macros.

Microsoft Mouse Macros

Will any supported device for Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard center be able to create macros? For instance can the Microsoft basic optical mouse create and use macros? Or is there a list of devices that are able to create macros using the Microsoft mouse
and keyboard center?

 

Mouse and keyboard center macros take ages for first run

After booting Windows 10, when hitting one of the macro keys on my Microsoft keyboard for the fist time (where macros are assigned using mouse and keyboard center), it takes like half a minute before the macro is carried out.

Subsequent macro invocations run without delay.

How can this be fixed?
