Windows 10: keyboard: problems with the key beside the o and above the semicolon

I am a student who uses their computer daily, so I REALLY need my keyboard to do its job. I have had problems with the key beside the o and above the semicolon=I literally can't type it. and every now and then my o doesn't work along with the 0,9,quotation marks, apostrophe(auto correct made that key beside the o] and hyphen, and also the question mark key doesn't work. I have a inspirion 15 and it is BRAND NEW and on Windows ten. The only way I can type those keys is holding down for like 30 seconds or use the number ad and number lock. I really could use some help.

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.

  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.
