Windows 10: keyboard shortcuts with the windows key snap assist

I am unable to snap on my windows 10 machine via the keyboard shortcut (windows key + arrow of the diection of snap) because everytime I hit the windows button it opens the start menu. How do I access all the keyboard shortcuts that start with the windows key if it always opens the start menu?

1. I didn't make any changes to the computer before the problem occurred. It was completely unexpected.

2. Other keyboard shortcuts work.

I am running the two commands you suggest, and I will let you know how it turns out.

1. the first one came back that the component store is repairable.

2. I am running the second one.

It didn't work. I got an error message.

Error: 0x800f081f

The source files could not be found.

Let us troubleshoot the issue by checking if the issue persists in Safe Mode. Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. It can help you troubleshoot problems on your PC.

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

If the issue does not persist in Safe Mode, perform a Clean Boot.
A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows
7, or Windows Vista. You may also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

* Place the computer in a Clean Boot and check if the issue is occurring due to any third party programs.

You can open the system configuration window in Windows 10:



a. Using run command.

• Press Windows Key + R keys on the Keyboard.
• Type msconfig.msc and press Enter.

b. Using Cortana.

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard and type
  msconfig.
• Select the top most search result.
