Windows 10: Keyboard Troubles

Hi, I'm having trouble with my keyboard. The "p" key won't work.

It's just this one. I checked and all the other ones work fine.



I thought maybe it broke because sometimes keys break so I went to use the on-screen keyboard but the same exact letter did not work at all. I ran the keyboard troubleshooter and it came out clean and it said there was nothing.

If anyone knows how to fix this, please help.

I've resorted to copying and pasting it and i've had to think up countless synonyms for words.

You need to take the usual trouble-shooting steps, i.e.

• Test the problem keyboard on a different PC.
• Try a different keyboard on your PC.

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.

  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

To address your concern, we suggest that you try the following steps:

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.
