Windows 10: Kinect for Windows Set Up

Hello, I am downloading Kinect for Windows SDK v1.8 and Kinect for Windows Developer Toolkit v1.8. I've gotten it to work with my Kinect. However, I would like to delete it and re-install it on my external hard drive I'm running out of space on my laptop. The installation wizard does not allow you to choose a file location for installation see screenshot - you just click OK to terms, then install, and it starts installing. I've tried to move everything over manually, and while I can get the apps to run on my external hard drive, i must be missing some driver files because it won't connect to my Kinect. Does anyone know how I can choose my file location for the install? Thank you.

To answer your query, Kinect for Windows is only programmed to work on Windows computers. Xbox consoles like Xbox One and Xbox 360 can use Xbox Kinect specifically programmed for each of them.

My Kinect 2.0 don't work with my computer

Thank you for your response. To further isolate your concern, we suggest that you plug the Kinect into a different USB 3.0 port on your PC. If possible, set up the Kinect on a different computer to test if there is an issue with the system configuration
on your computer.

If you have a spare Kinect Adapter, you can use it on your Kinect to check if there is an issue with the Adapter.
