Windows 10: KMODE Exception Error - Dell Precision M6800

Hi everyone,



I know this is a common problem and I've been trying to do my best to try and research how to fix it, but I'm getting a KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error every time I start up my Dell Precision M6800. It goes to the desktop screen for about 1 min, and then it gives me the error and then I got to restart. I can boot the computer up in Safe Mode no problem, and can connect to the internet and do what I need to do through there.



I've tried disabling fast startup, i've tried updating my drivers through the Device Manager, and I've ran the SFC /SCANNOW on the command prompt and nothing seems to be showing. I downloaded WhoCrashed and it shows me that the file that's having issues is the ntoskrnl.exe which isn't entirely helpful.



I have a .zip file of all my Minidumps that Window has done for me...would anyone be able to give me some advice on what I can try from here?

Sound does not work after Windows 10 update on Dell Precision M6800

Why would a Windows 10 update effect the sound driver in a Dell Precision laptop?

Not all the time, but every couple times of updates.

I've tried different versions of the Realtek driver, but keep going to the one that works from Dell.

The version that ends with "6098"

I have to uninstall from Programs then reinstall the sound driver, it always comes back but this is a hassle.

Also this problem has been on-going for several years, why has no engineer dealt with it?

The Dell Precision is a nice laptop, speed is excellent - choice of CPU's, plenty of memory and video memory too, guess designed for CAD. Accessories still available.

Did I mention after updates that mess the sound driver the system runs just a little faster than a stand still.

So bottom line why does Windows 10 updates mess with the sound driver?

BSOD with KMODE Exception not handle, no driver listed

Hey all

I have a couple Dell laptops here, both are Latitude E6540 with identical specs. Both laptops we had at work and at Windows 10 with no issues.

I formatted both and reinstalled Win 7 pro, used the Dell Command Update to update the BIOS, video drivers (AMD and Intel both) and a couple other items that I can't remember. Using Windows 7 works fine, no issues. I then upgraded to Win 10 and that's when I start to have issues. After it completes the upgrade and I'm at the desktop, I start to get the BSOD and the KMODE Exception not handle with no driver listed. It then reboots, then repeats the BSOD and KMODE Exception not handle in a loop. I can get into safe mode however.

Can I run the collector program in safe mode?
