korean keyboard / hangul doesn't work

Hello, I have the korean keyboard installed on my notebook since yesterday the keyboard stopped working.

Everytime I type appears the hanja writing and not hangul. But what's weird is this only happens at windows, when I try to write in a document or rename a file, but when I write on internet is in hangul.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled the korean keyboard, restored the system before the update of yesterday and nothing changed. I want to know what I can to fix it because I use this for study and work.

    :)

Installed Korean language keyboard but still can't type in Hangul

I'm using Windows 7 Professional and added the Korean (Korea) Microsoft IME keyboard but there's no toggle/option for toggling between English/Korean input.

Clicking Properties for Microsoft IME gives this message:

The property setting for Microsoft IME is not available.

I've seen suggestions to change the Keyboard Type from "2 Beolsik" to "3 Beolsik" and "Delete by Jaso unit" in other places but that menu doesn't even appear.

Note: I can switch input languages using (alt+Lshift) but when I'm already in "KO" I still can't actually get to Hangul input.

  3. Installed Korean language keyboard but still can't type in Hangul

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and added the Korean (Korea) Microsoft IME keyboard but there's no toggle/option for toggling between English/Korean input.

Clicking Properties for Microsoft IME gives this message: "The property setting for Microsoft IME is not available."

I've seen suggestions to change the Keyboard Type from "2 Beolsik" to "3 Beolsik" but that menu doesn't even appear.

I also tried to disable the anti virus then try again but didn't work and I also created another user and tried there and that didn't work. Do you guys know how to fi this? I really need help and need this work!

Thanks for your reply. I disabled the anti-virus and nothing changed. Then tried removing and adding the Korean keyboard again, no difference.

You suggest uninstalling the Korean language, I looked into that but couldn't find Korean via Windows Update. Just to clarify - I'm trying to get this under "Text Services and Input Languages" and not via a Language Pack.

Still haven't found how to get the A/가 toggle to appear.

Do you have any other ideas?
