    Language settings problem


    Hello,I have bought a laptop in Czech republic so the pre-installed version of Windows was Czech. This is a Win 10 Pro. I wanted to switch to English so I looged in as Administrator, installed a US English language package and marked the box "set as Windows System language" not sure about precise citation because it is still in Czech. I have also changed Administrative language settings to English. Then I restarted Windows. The result is weird: something actually switched to English like "Welcome" when logging in but the bigger part is still in Czech like the Windows settings page. I hav

    Why is Use language list only showing UK, and not US as another option in view of the steps I have taken to install it and put it at the top of my list? What is the' language bar', referred to? I don't think I have ever seen it, or am not recognising it if I had. And why is Keyboard shown as English UK when Settings is opened?

    I suggest you to remove the language pack, download the language pack and set it as default and check for status.

    To remove the language pack, follow the steps below:

    • Click on Start>Settings>Time & Language.
    • In the left pane, click on Region & Language.
    • Select the language and click on Remove.

    To add a language pack, follow the steps below:



    • Click on Start>Settings>Time & Language.
    • In the left pane, click on Region & Language.
    • Click on Add language.
    • Select the language from the list, download and set as default.

    Hi Sassy,

    To remove the Croatian language in Windows 10, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Open the Settings app, select Time & Language, and click
      Region & Language      .
    • Under Add a language, select English, and click
      Set as default      .
    • Select the Croatian language and click Remove.
    • Close the Settings app, restart the computer, and check if the issue persists.
