Windows 10: Laptop Auto Scrolling

Discus and support Laptop Auto Scrolling in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I swear I am about to rip all the hair out of my head. I am about to cry.     Laptop Auto Scrolling


    I swear I am about to rip all the hair out of my head. I am about to cry. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this.



    For the past day or so my laptop has been behaving very... Weirdly. The screen just automatially scrolls down. When it's on websites or the start menu, it even scrolls. I have tried every methould I could think of.



    I turned off the scroll down when you hover feature.

    I uninstalled my mouse

    I uninstalled my keyboard

    I did a SYSTEM RECOVERY. Not restore but RECOVERY. Like back to factory settings. Still the problem persists.



    I'd buy a new laptop but I only have $380 in cash, and like $200 or so in savings.



    I feel at my wits end because I can't figure out what the hell is going on.



    If anybody could help, that doesn't suggest these options which I have already done... I'd love you, and be greatly appreciative. I just want my laptop to behave normally again.

    Auto scroll issue

    Hi Kunananthaseelan,

    Thank you for updating.

    I suggest you to install Synaptic driver in Compatibility mode. Also install Keyboard and mouse drivers from manufacturer website.

    Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

    5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

    Do let us know if you still face auto scroll issue. Thank you.
