Laptop booting up with UEFI please help

On the first MAIN screen in UEFI (bios), it should show the numbered SATA ports and what is physically attached to them. What does that show?

And also RWOne's suggestion above too...

The "Launch CSM" option is locked (?) and inaccessible, is there any way to undo this?

For the moment, let's review where we are.

The hard drive is on sata0, good. It's being detected by the system.

    We need to:

Determine the boot mode (UEFI/Legacy) and within either one once determined, get the hard drive selected as a boot device (doesn't have to be first, but ...)

I'm 90% of reaching that you should set the BIOS defaults (don't do it though just yet)...

did you try enabling CSM again and then selecting add a boot option (to select the drive)?

I'm not sure how to enable the CSM, it's blacked out so I can't access it. Would I need to enable something else to reach it?

That's alright. It comes up "Add Boot Option" and underneath it "Path for boot option"

    I'm thinking at this point....

F9 to load the optimized default options might be the best place to start over....

    You stated earlier:

Do you know exactly what you did to it? Was it in the UEFI (bios) that you did "something" or was it in Windows?

I've loaded the options, it's still staying on the page, is that supposed to happen?

It should not be just going back to that page. Restarting the computer should attempt to boot from the hard drive. If there is a problem with the boot files on the hard drive then you should get an error message in white text on a black screen that says something like "Operating System not found" or "boot device not found", something like that.

Can you boot from a DVD or USB flash drive such as a recovery drive or Windows installation media?

Also, just curious, have you tried unplugging the power cord, remove the battery, hold down the power key for a few seconds. Make sure the laptop is completely dead without any power whatsoever. then re-install the battery, plug back in the power supply and try starting again?

Everything I changed is just within the UEFI/BIOS. Side question, is Network Stack supposed to be disabled? (It is)

Network stack should be disabled. I'm going to have to bow out for the time being now too. Here's what I am thinking, though:

If you can boot from a USB flash drive or DVD, and you can't access the hard drive from the USB flash drive or DVD, then it is probably the hard drive that is bad.

If you can't boot from a USB flash drive or DVD and the computer just keeps going right back into UEFI setup without any error messages, it's probably UEFI corruption or other computer hardware failure. You will probably have to look at reflashing the UEFI firmware from a USB flash drive or DVD, if that capability exists from within the UEFI firmware itself and not have to boot into an OS to do it.

I would recommend making a bootable USB flash drive or DVD from Kyhi's recovery drive - if you can get the computer to boot from that we can do more troubleshooting with it:

I will get back to you on that. The back needs to be unscrewed to reach the battery. Will update when I can. Also, there is nothing on the disk as it's new.

So, it seems like what you are trying to do is boot the computer from either a USB flash drive or a DVD in order to install Windows 10 onto the new hard drive? Which is it, a USB flash drive or a DVD? Where did you get the USB flash drive or DVD - did you download an image file of Windows 10? What program/options in the program did you use when you created the flash drive or DVD?
