Windows 10: Laptop Build & Windows Shell

I am a Business Development Manager in the Bay Area and I have a question about my "work" laptop. I'm not an engineer nor do I claim to be, but something does not feel right about this device. I had a feeling it wasn't running on the correct Windows OS. Any help would be appreciated. I have been at this company for less than three years. So, why does the OS Build say 2006? Also, the security is just about non existing and in Outlook, Excel all of the certificates are out dates as well.

Shell experience not running in Windows 10

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue.

  What is the exact issue that you are facing?
  
• 
  Does that mean the Start menu Cortana and the Task bar is not responding?
  
• 
  Which is the current build installed on the computer?
  
• 
  Did you install any third party security application?
  
• 
  Where exactly did you find that the shell experience not running?
  

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows update and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

To answer your question, you can have the casing of your Windows 10 laptop customized and you’re not even limited to have it done with a certain designing company. You can check other shell designing websites. However, we suggest you to
contact the manufacturer of your computer to know more about how you can have your laptop shell designed and if it would affect the warranty status of your computer.
