Windows 10: Laptop Can't Find Built In Camera

Google has failed me so far, so maybe someone reading this can.


I'm trying to use the built-in camera on my computer with Windows 10 for zoom meetings for what I'm doing it's easier than using my tablet and the camera would make some things more convenient. I've used the camera numerous times before, but not for a few months. When I opened zoom the app said it can't find the camera, and the same error comes when I try using the camera app exact error is 0xa00ff4244<nocamerasareattached> or any other app that would use the camera.

Here's what I've tried:

• Turning my computer off and on again ol' reliable
  
• Restarting the camera in settings
• Went through settings to make sure the camera was on and that it wasn't turned off for any apps. It was turned on for all
  
• Turned off my anti-virus to see if that was blocking the camera, which didn't help. Camera still wasn't found
• Tried finding the camera driver under "Device Manager", but it wasn't there. It wasn't under "Image Devices" or "Sound, video, and game controllers". I went through every tab under Device Manager and couldn't find anything that would relate to the camera. Which is weird, because the camera is built in and I haven't done anything that would delete it unless windows did it secretly via update.

Not really sure what else to do, since everything I read online only helps when you can find the driver for the camera or if it's a webcam that you can physically plug in, and neither of those apply here.


I can't offer a reward, but know that some random college student a few weeks away from graduation will be very grateful for whoever solves this problem.

built in camera on the laptop

I am unable to use the built-in camera on my laptop. I looked at the replies to questions similar to mine and one exactly like mine. I have gone to device manager several times and no camera is listed, thee audio is listed but no camera. I cannot update
software drivers or make software compatible(I have windows10) because there is no app or device listed. What can i do?

• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.
