Syncing Across Devices - Lumia/Laptop/Desktop

Thanks for any advice on an important matter.

I am considering the purchase of a Lumia 950. I desperately need to have synced emails, calendar and contacts across the phone, the laptop and the desktop. Here is my configuration as is:

• running office 360 on the laptop and desktop. emails sync nicely. blackberry syncs emails nicely. but not Calendar or contacts. Blackberry does not support office 2016 integration easily - why they do this is befuddling but they do.
• business specific email hosted by a third party provider - it is not an Outlook.com email.
• Windows 10
• Office 2016 full suite in Office 360 format

If I purchase a Lumia 950, can I get to an environment where all the three important pieces of data - emails, calendar and contact information are all the same at all times? If so, how do I do this?

 

How do I transfer data from desktop to Laptop ?

Hi,

I am travelling & taking my desktop's 500 GB Hard Disk ( with data & OS ) with me. Once I reach my destination I will be buying a Laptop there & want to transfer the data from my desktop's HDD to Laptop's HDD.

Without an access to desktop there, how do I transfer data from my desktop's HDD to Laptop's HDD ?

Synced but no data

Suggest you better save a backup copy of outlook data before you try to set up new partnership to sync fresh set of sync data on Outlook. Do this by creating new Outlook pst data file and set the new Outlook data file as default. Check that data on your
old Outlook data file is intact.

Better still sync your latest set of data to your old desktop before attempting to setup new partnership and fresh set of Outlook data file. What is the Windows version of your old desktop?
