    Laptop freezes as startup


    Windows 10, Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.778)

    Hello, recently I've been noticing that my laptop won't startup. The power light comes on and then nothing. If I remove the battery, then re-insert it, I am able to get it to start up.

    Once it restarts, I am seeing this error in a log:

    I really have no idea what this means or how to resolve it.

    I have uploaded the the V2 log collector zip file for your review.

    Hello Frank,

    A failed update or one-time startup process can sometimes cause stopping, freezing, or reboot-loop issues during the login process. To isolate the issue, we suggest that you answer the following questions:

    • Do you have a USB device attached? If yes, can you remove the device and log in again.
    • Have you tried turning off the WiFi feature in your laptop before logging in?
    • How about running a Startup Repair in your Windows 10 laptop? (Boot to Advanced Startup Options>Click on Troubleshoot> Click on Advanced options> Click on Startup Repair)
    • Aside from the above steps, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Laptop freezes at startup

    My laptop keeps freezing at startup and the problem is getting worse. It happens in the following way: when I start Windows, laptop comes to a halt and then freezes with Hdd light either on or off. Then I need to press the power button for long.
