Windows 10: Laptop Freezes Consistently

Hello, recently my laptop has been going through a strange phase where it consistently freezes after several minutes of use. And has worsen to freezes seconds after it booted up.Laptop: IntelR CoreTM I7-9570H, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10It starts with a brief 5-second freeze, during which the audio suddenly stutters for a couple of seconds but then returns to normal. However, approximately 5 seconds later, it freezes indefinitely, and there's very little I can do to resolve it.I've attempted keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Windows, but nothing seems to work. This can happen

SSD stops and freezes laptop

Couple of updates:

1. I created a Linux boot USB key, and monitored my SSD under Linux, so this is evidently not a Windows issue, and
2. I loaded new firmware for the SSD, and my system seems to be functioning normally now. What a pleasure using a PC that doesn't consistently freeze up.

We would like to know when exactly is your laptop freezing up?

Which programs or apps are you running at that time?

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer and then sign in to the admin account to check if this helps. Ensure to install any pending updates on the computer and remember to restart the system.

The “System Maintenance” Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks for the common maintenance tasks on Windows. Try using the System Maintenance troubleshooter to automatically find and fix problems. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

• 
  Type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar and press “Enter”.
  
• 
  In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.
  
• 
  Click on “System Maintenance”.
  
• 
  Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.
  
• 
  Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
  

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps:

Step 1: Try to boot computer in Safe mode
with networking and check if issue persist.

Safe mode is useful for troubleshooting problems with programs and drivers that might not start correctly or that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers.

Step 2: If the computer works fine in Safe mode,
perform a Clean boot

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Note: Refer the section “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting in clean boot” of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.
